The records were primarily created by Milton J. Olson, Secretary for Latin America and the Caribbean from 1973-1977, with a few created by James E. Henneberger, who succeeded Olson. They consist of correspondence, projects, reports, and minutes. Olson separated both his correspondence and his reports into two parts, first general and second Iglesia Evangelica Luterana en el Peru (IELP) and mission. Thus his correspondence with the national church and that with the missionaries are filed together chronologically. There are also reports from a study on Quechua Community Ministry, conducted by the Rev. Stephan and Nancy Hornberger in 1978 and 1979. The minutes, also interfiled, are for the Mission Council and an Ad Hoc Committee of the church. The minutes of the latter are in Spanish. The project files are for the Extension Seminary and for a Quechua language Bible and Quechua music festival.
